Little Angel’s Children Home Nursery and Vegetable

Nepal Children Home
Jerry Benner from Vancouver, BC Canada with the help of some local staff has started preparing the clay and ground for green house construction. The ongoing Nursery setup at Little Angel’s Children Home is supposed to be producing over 10,000 useful tree plants, grass trees, fruits and other costly trees. The greenhouse nursery construction project is supported by Canadian Forest Without Borders and expected to continue for few years to come.

At the mean time the vegetable and gardening of the Children’s Home is being improved and expected to produce a lot of garlic, onions, spinach and other fruits which would be also possible to sale in local market. We appreciate your visit and suggestions for these projects.

TEAM Nepal would like to Thank to Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Teachers, Students, and Youths, Community Members, Political parties and their youths, reporters and everyone involved in helping our community in such a disaster.  We appreciate your great example of humanity with respect.

We also would like to thank everyone involved voluntarily in our support program in villages, everyone who believed us and helped us financially from aboard and all those foreigners who soulfully united with us in our tragic situation.

New Home, Energy and Beginning of Organic Farm

DSC02707December 05, 2014 – The shelter for orphan children built by TEAM Nepal with the cooperation from various organization and individuals donors has been on the final stage of it’s construction.

We believe this was a great success towards the sustainable home for children with in the fifth year of foundation of organization.

On this successful completion of project we want to remember Melanie Hennessy and DRAIOCHT group and volunteers from Ireland, Earth Garden Foundation and Alan Gray family from Australia, Deana Zabaldo Nancy Porten and Marvin/Linda from  Changing Lives Nepal USA, OAO Volga Capital Russia, Aisling Neary for buying most of the house supplies recently, and so many individual helping hands to complete this project.  We believe this is a great success towards the sustainability of the Little Angel’s Children Home.  We have already completed basic construction of two big buildings, 2 kitchens, 2 outside toilet and showers. One of the each construction is completed with finalized painting last week and painting, fitting the windows glass, doors and final plastering work is being done at the other building.

We currently have 20 children and 3 full time staffs looking after them.  A seven years girl from Bardiya was admitted into home on Dec 1, 2014 with the coordination of Social Welfare Council.  As home is on the completion stage, the organic vegetables are growing and the portion of vegetable sustainability is on its way.  Bananas and other fruits are also growing in our own land.  We home to make our garden also a place to learn for the people of the area.

All of our children goes to the near by Terse Higher Secondary School, where TEAM Nepal is helping since its foundation for buildings, materials, scholarships and recently for security deposit to upgrade the school in +2 level.

Kira Kay with president Neel Bdr. Shahi also visited the bridge to Urleni School which was renovated by TEAM Nepal this year but was flooded away during this monsoon. We are supposed to again renovate the bridge as students are frequently falling from the bridge or meets with accidents while crossing the river.DSC02570DSC02539DSC02533

Home Construction Update !

TEAM Nepal has completed around 85% of the home construction.  Children are excited to move into their own new home but the financial condition of the organization at the moment is not favorable to complete all the works in time.  Thus here we are once more asking for some efforts from regular as well as new donors.   Our plan to shift into the new home might be delayed by another three months.  For the most current financial as well physical stage of the home construction project we have prepared a simple proposal for completion of remaining work.  Please view the proposal for remaining construction and after construction work here.
